Dryer Vent Cleaning in Southport, NC
Southport's historic district, the St. James master-planned community, and the Bald Head Island ferry-served properties all sit in our Brunswick County coverage zone. The mix of very- old housing stock and very-new gated-community construction means we see the full range of vent setups in a single day's appointments here.
Historic Southport is genuinely old
Southport's downtown historic district has homes from the early 1800s — actual 200-year-old houses where the dryer was added sometime in the 1960s and the vent line was retrofitted through whatever wall cavity was easiest at the time. Those jobs are slower, less predictable, and more likely to surface code- compliance issues that need addressing before a normal cleaning can proceed.
We budget extra time for historic-district visits. If you live in the area bounded roughly by Bay Street, Howe Street, and Brunswick Street, expect us to spend 20-30 minutes of inspection time before starting the actual cleaning.
St. James Plantation is mostly newer construction
St. James is the opposite extreme — large master-planned community with mostly 2000s-and-newer homes on golf-course- adjacent lots. Standard vent layouts, predictable cleaning times, and HOA-coordinated annual cleaning is the typical pattern for owner residents here.
We work with the St. James HOA when scheduled building- or section-wide cleanings come up. Multi-unit volume pricing applies when we're servicing 5+ homes in the same week within the community.
Bald Head Island is the unusual one
Bald Head is ferry-only — no cars on the island. We service Bald Head properties by walking equipment from the ferry landing to the home, which adds significant time. We schedule Bald Head jobs only on dedicated trips, typically once or twice per month, and we book them in bunches. If you have a Bald Head property, call us 2-4 weeks ahead of when you'd like the service and we'll add you to the next Bald Head run.
Oak Island connection
We cover Oak Island as a separate service zone — see our Oak Island page for the specifics there. The Long Beach Road bridge connection between Southport and Oak Island means we can often bundle appointments across both towns in the same morning if you're coordinating with a neighbor or family member.
